<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The research addresses the important and pressing issue of developing various measures to accelerate the hardening of concrete containing supplementary cementitious materials in addition to Portland cement. The authors have studied the effect of complex organic-mineral modifier, specifically synthesized nanoparticles of calcium silicate hydrate and polycarboxylate superplasticizer, on hydration and hardening kinetics of composite cement containing the active mineral additive of metakaolin as a partial replacement for Portland cement, including at low ambient temperatures. The composition of the complex organic-mineral modifier based on the standardized compressive strength of the cement paste at early curing ages (2 and 7 days) under normal conditions, as well as at low ambient temperatures (+10°C) was optimized. It was established that the content of nanohydrated calcium silicate (Master X-Seed 45) has the greatest effect on compressive strength at early age of hardening (2 days), both under normal conditions and at low ambient temperatures. The accelerating effect of the complex modifier significantly weakens at the age of seven days of hardening, and even more so at the design age, especially at low curing temperature. The authors have identified a positive effect of the combined influence of synthesized calcium silicate hydrous additive and polycarboxylate superplasticizer on the workability of the cement paste. Using X-ray phase analysis, the composition of the hydration products of cement paste have been studied: portlandite, calcium hydroaluminates of variable composition, and ettringite (AFt phase) have been identified. It was shown that the compressive strength of cement pastes correlates close enough with the results of X-ray phase analysis.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><title>Keywords</title><kwd>metakaolin</kwd><kwd>crystalline hydrate solution</kwd><kwd>superplasticizer</kwd><kwd>calcium hydrosilicates</kwd><kwd>hydration</kwd><kwd>strength</kwd><kwd>optimization</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><title>Ключевые слова</title><kwd>метакаолин</kwd><kwd>раствор кристаллогидратов</kwd><kwd>суперпластификатор</kwd><kwd>гидросиликаты кальция</kwd><kwd>гидратация</kwd><kwd>прочность</kwd><kwd>оптимизация</kwd></kwd-group><counts><page-count count="12"/></counts>
