Abstract

Subject: The article discusses methods for constructing fractal structures. Examples of fractal architecture elements are shown. This makes it possible to understand the possibilities of creating fractal elements of modern buildings.

Materials and methods: The application of fractal geometry methods allows for more efficient use of digital technologies in the design of architectural objects.

Results: The article focuses on the study of fractals and the creation of fractal structures of objects. This study provides examples of fractal structures. The main methods of fractal geometry are given, the interrelationships and patterns of fractality of architectural elements of structures are considered. These fractal structures have the basic property of fractality – self-similarity, which is characterized by an algorithm with symmetry that appears each time, but on a new scale, with a repetition of the pattern within itself. But the properties of fractality are not limited to this. Fractality is characterized by shifts, fractures, unity of symmetry and asymmetry, and movement with sliding. . By analyzing the various shapes of fractals, it is possible to create interesting structures with optimal organization of external and internal space.

Conclusions: Fractal geometry and mathematical methods help to find unique shapes when modeling the structure of an artificial environment, when creating architectural complexes. The search for fractal structures in architecture allows you to create unique shapes. And the theory of fractals helps to embody these images in the works of architects.
