The reviewer is selected by the editorial board from among the members of the editorial board, other authoritative Russian or foreign scientists, including the authors "Construction and Technogenic Security". The editors encourage reviewers to adhere to the principles enunciated in the Ethics Guidelines for reviewers developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as the rules for publishing articles adopted in the journals of the Elsevier publishing house.

PROCEDURE FOR REVIEWING ARTICLES ARRANGED IN THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL JOURNAL "CONSTRUCTION AND TECHNOGENIC SAFETY"

All scientific articles submitted to the editorial office of the journal are subject to mandatory review. Articles can also be accompanied by a review by a specialist on the profile of the article, which does not cancel the expert evaluation procedure organized by the editorial board in the following order.

The executive secretary of the editorial board determines the correspondence of the article to the profile of the journal, the requirements for registration, estimates the completeness of the submitted review and sends the article for the first consideration to one of the deputy chief editor who checks the scientific context of the manuscript. Then, if necessary, the article is sent for review to one of the members of the editorial board or an external reviewer - a specialist, doctor or candidate of science, who has the most scientific specialization and publications on this topic for the last 3 years.
The timing of the review in each individual case is determined by the responsible secretary of the journal, taking into account the creation of conditions for the most expeditious publication of the article.
The review covers the following issues:
- whether the content of the article corresponds to the topic stated in the title;

- how much the article corresponds to modern achievements in the field of theory and practice of architecture and construction sciences;

- accessibility of the article to readers in terms of language, style, material layout, visualization of tables, diagrams, figures and formulas;

- whether it is expedient to publish the article taking into account the novelty of the materials of the article;

- how much the presentation of the materials of the article meets the modern requirements of the methodology of building sciences and architecture, and also to what extent the conclusions of the research are applicable to the practice of the industry;

- What are the shortcomings, corrections and additions proposed for making the author;

- summary: it is recommended taking into account correction of the deficiencies noted by the reviewer or is not recommended for publication in the scientific and technical journal "Construction and Technogenic Security".

All reviews are certified in the manner established in the institution where the reviewer works.
The review is conducted confidentially, the author is not informed of the name of the reviewer, and the referee - the author's name of the article. The author of the article under review is given the opportunity to review the comments of the reviewer.

A copy of the review or a reasoned refusal to publish is sent to the author by e-mail. If the review contains recommendations for correcting and finalizing the article, the editorial staff sends the reviewer's comments by e-mail with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article, or to argue them (partially or completely) with arguments. The article (revised) by the author is sent for re-review.
An article not recommended by the reviewer for publication is not accepted for reconsideration. The text of the negative conclusion is sent to the author by e-mail.

The presence of a positive review is not a sufficient basis for the publication of the article. The final decision on the expediency of publication is taken by the editorial board of the scientific and technical journal "Construction and Technogenic Security".

After the acceptance by the editorial board of the scientific and technical journal "Construction and Technogenic Security" of the decision to admit the article to the publication, the author is informed about it by e-mail with the indication of the terms of publication.

The originals of reviews are stored in the editorial board of the scientific and technical journal "Construction and Technogenic Security" for at least 5 years. Copies are provided to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia upon request.

Information about the referee of the article in the journal is not published.
